Biography

Lois N. Rosen, a member of the Litigation Department, is primarily responsible for the firm's federal and state appellate and motion practice. During her more than twenty years of practice, she has advised clients on matters relating to commercial litigation, real estate transactions (including leasing and complex mortgage refinancing), municipal law and matrimonial law. She has worked in both the public and private sectors, and also served as in-house counsel for a holding company with diverse real estate interests. Recently, she assisted the County of Westchester in its ongoing efforts to ensure that rates paid by consumers for electricity remain reasonable. She also has brought several lawsuits against the State of New York to try to ensure that the County pays only its proportionate share of charges for certain state-run programs. Lois thus brings a unique perspective to solving client problems.

Ms. Rosen is a 1976 magna cum laude graduate of Brown University and graduated from New York University School of Law in 1979. While at NYU, she served as associate editor of the Annual Survey of American Law.
