Biography






      Marc S. Oxman, an accomplished trial lawyer, heads the firm's Litigation Department. With thirty years of experience in State and Federal Courts, Mr. Oxman has won numerous personal injury cases involving negligence, malpractice and product liability. He also handles complex litigation and trials in the areas of commercial, real estate and municipal law, and has been successful in arguments before the appellate courts of the state. He has broad experience in the negotiation and settlement of diverse and varied types of civil and administrative claims. Arguing the case of Nealy v. Yung, before the New York State Court of Appeals in 1999, Mr. Oxman created new law by establishing the right of a patient to sue for the negligence of his HMO primary care physician.
      A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law (1969), Mr. Oxman served as the Town of Yorktown Justice from 1976-1984, and has been involved in Westchester Democratic politics to date. He was chairman of the Yorktown Democratic Committee, served as chairman of the Westchester County Judicial Screening Committee, and is presently the Executive Director of the Westchester County Democratic Party. Mr. Oxman is engaged in various civic and charitable endeavors. He has been afforded the highest attorney rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
