Biography
John B. Kirkpatrick is both an attorney and city planner. Mr. Kirkpatrick concentrates his practice in the areas of land use and environmental law with over 25 years of experience in land use planning and development. Prior to his admission to the bar, Mr. Kirkpatrick served as principal planner for Frederick P. Clark Associates. As an attorney, he has represented developers on a wide variety of projects including a 540 unit residential development in the Town of Beekman, New York, and a million square foot shopping center in the Town of Southeast. He has also been retained for major roles in the comprehensive revisions of the zoning ordinances of the Town of Eastchester, City of New Rochelle and Town of East Fishkill.

A 1966 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Kirkpatrick holds a Masters in Regional Planning from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law. He is Secretary of the Friends of Westchester County Parks, immediate past Chair of the Westchester Chapter of the New York League of Conservation Voters, Counsel to the American Society of Consulting Planners, and was for almost two decades co-chair of the Land Use Committee of the New York State Bar Association Environmental Law Section and a Director of the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation. He is admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court and the State and Federal Courts in New York.
